Joanne Stanbridge
Joanne Stanbridge has written and/or illustrated fourteen books for young people, including the popular
Famous Dead Canadians, which was chosen as an honour book at the Silver Birch Awards.   Her books have appeared on numerous "best of the year" lists, including those produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), the Ontario Library Association, the Canadian Children's Book Centre, and the national reviewing journal Resource Links.

Her work has also been recommended by the TD Summer Reading Club, which annually promotes reading in public libraries across Canada, and she has twice been shortlisted for the Red Cedar Award in British Columbia.

She lives in Kingston, Ontario, Canada with a wise and adventurous cat named Meesha, an unwise and cowardly cat named Charlie, and an attic full of rowdy squirrels.
